Do You See a Sign Of
Pregnancy?
People learn about their pregnancy or the pregnancy of their
significant other in a variety of ways. But what exactly is a
surefire sign of pregnancy besides the burgeoning belly, the
absence of the woman’s period or a baby forty weeks later?
There are many possible indications that a woman may be
pregnant.
One oft-cited sign of pregnancy in the first trimester appears
in changes to their body and the way in which it ordinarily
functions. For example, a woman’s menstrual cycle may change.
She may experience a difference in the flow of her period. Or,
she may find that she needs to urinate more often than she
usually needs to. Also, a woman may be victim to the occasional
bout of nausea, or morning sickness. This common tendency in
the first trimester causes the woman to feel sick to the point
where she may vomit. Many pregnant women cite this ailment and
it is maybe the most common sign of pregnancy out of all bodily
changes.
Spread the Word
Once she finds out, women choose unique and creative ways to
share the news. One mom put a little bun in the oven and asked
her husband to ‘take out the casserole for dinner’ when he came
home from work. Another set of expectant parents send Grandpa
and Grandma Mugs to their parents when they were expecting
their first child. Or a positive pregnancy test stick in a gift
box is another way to break the good news to your
spouse.
In the second trimester, the body continues to change and
express a new sign of pregnancy seemingly almost daily. One
common sign of pregnancy occurs in changes to a pregnant
woman’s breasts. Nipple size and protrusion level may change
and the color of both nipple and areola might change, too. Many
pregnant women also complain of indigestion, or heartburn,
during this trimester -what a painful sign of pregnancy! This
trimester also features the addition of varicose veins as a
sign of pregnancy. This sign of pregnancy, unfortunately,
usually lingers on and can afflict the woman the rest of her
life unless medically removed.
In this last trimester, if one looks carefully, she or he can
observe the baby in its current habitat - from the outside!
Another observable sign of pregnancy in this trimester is the
common popping out of the belly button. Then, after nine long
months, the most momentous sign of pregnancy: the baby finally
arrives!
